Manjushri Bodhisattva, known in Sanskrit as “Manjusri“ and often referred to simply as “Wenshu,“ embodies the qualities of “Wondrous Auspiciousness“. His figure is a serene golden-yellow, adorned with a crown featuring five hair buns, symbolizing the Five Wisdoms and the Five Buddhas. Among all great Bodhisattvas, Manjushri stands foremost in wisdom and eloquence, and he is known as the chief among them, sitting at the side of Shakyamuni Buddha, representing the profound wisdom of all Buddhas.

文殊菩萨，梵文名“Manjusri“，通常简称为“文殊“，象征着“妙吉祥“的特质。他的形象为宁静的金黄色，头戴五髻宝冠，象征着五智和五佛。在诸大菩萨中，文殊以智慧和辩才著称，被尊为首席菩萨，侍立在释迦牟尼佛身旁，代表着佛的深邃智慧。

To the left of Manjushri stands the elder Yugai from Vaisali, who, along with five hundred other elders, would often visit Vimalakirti's chamber to hear teachings on the non-dual nature of reality and to seek blessings from the Western Deities to protect his homeland from illness. To the right, a lion tamer stands alongside the “Green Lion,“ Manjushri's mount. The lion, symbolizing the Bodhisattva's wisdom, conveys his strength, clarity, and unwavering insight.

在文殊的左侧，站立着来自毗舍离国的月盖长者，他与五百位长者常去维摩诘居士的房中听闻关于非二元真理的教义，并祈求西方三圣的护佑，以保护他的国家免于瘟疫之害。在文殊的右侧，站着驯狮人和“青师”——文殊的坐骑。青师象征菩萨的智慧，展现了他的力量、清晰的洞察力以及坚定的智慧。

The painting of Manjushri features a beautiful harmony of line work—at times bold and sweeping, with garment lines that ripple gracefully, and at other moments intricate and precise, capturing subtle details in even the smallest spaces.

Today, people often look to Manjushri for guidance in learning and wisdom, seeking his blessings for clarity and success in their studies and life endeavors.
